About the event
The Idaho Forest Owners Association invites you to attend this summer’s Forest Owners Field Day on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Priest River Experimental Forest near Priest River, ID. This is an outdoor educational experience not to be missed if you own forestland or would just like to understand forests. There will be talks and demonstrations on forestry topics that will enlighten and amaze you!
The Field Day gate opens at 8:00am, with presentations starting at 9:00am. The Field Day is structured like a county fair with booths and stations. At a short walking distance from the central location there are stations where talks and demonstrations are given. If walking is a concern, talk with Field Day personnel and rides can be arranged. There are 6 presentation time slots with great topics to choose from. Maps with the locations and times of presentations are available at the Field Day. The presentations begin at 9am, 10am, 11am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm. Presentations are 50 minutes, with 10 minutes between sessions. Lunch and networking time is from 12:00pm until 1:30pm.
The Field Day focuses on basics as well as advanced information for everyone. The presentations are taught by experts who deal with these issues every day. Idaho Department of Lands and other specialists from both Washington and Idaho will be presenting their field of expertise for your learning experience.

* Managing for Wildlife in the Forest
* Thinning for Forest Health

* Rodent control
* Essential Oils
* Forest Health
* Tajfun Forest Equipment Display/ Demonstration
Remember, this is a bargain price of $25 per individual or $35 per nuclear family of two or more, if your registration is received by June 14th, 2024. A catered lunch is available for $24.50 per individual with this early registration. After June 14th or at the gate, registration is $35 per individual or $45 per nuclear family of two or more. If you wish, you may bring your own picnic lunch
